Sharing joy and knowledge from an ordinary life

Revision

This year, I’ll be lucky enough to be away for the WHOLE of the Easter break: Sydney, here I come! I promise I’ll be back…probably!

This means that my usual offer of revision sessions and drop-ins for learners will not be possible so a plan B was required.

Tomorrow, all learners will be given a revision planner:

Analysis

I spied this idea for categorising revision activities on Twitter!

They will also be given a revision loyalty card:

They will be tasked with completing activities for each heading before Monday 20th April 2015. This will mean that revision sessions in class prior to their exams can be lead from what they’ve struggled with the most (rather than what they just haven’t revised!)

I’ll be setting it all up in class tomorrow and giving them time to decide on the order of proceedings so that they can prioritise activities according to their needs; abandoning some activities in favour of others as long as they’re able to justify the reasons.

They can use the revision board in the corridor for reminders and resources:

Let the revision commence!

My writing commitment: I’m learning to honour my thoughts. I’m learning that my words can be shared before I’ve connected all the dots or learned everything there is to know. My writing can be a snapshot of a single moment in continually-evolving time.
